Wonderful Thailand with its frenetic cities, ancient temples and golden sandy beaches and islands is an exciting and very accessible holiday destination for all the family.
Thailand has long-been a favourite destination in Asia offering a tantalising mix of tropical beaches, ancient temples and fascinating history. The ‘Land of Smiles’ is indeed an incredibly hospitable destination with top notch hotels, lodges and resorts providing every luxury, delicious cuisine using wonderful fresh produce and eclectic markets to enjoy. National Parks are rich with wildlife, and it is still possible to get away from the over commercialised areas, out into the wild and beautiful Thailand of old.
When to Go:
Thailand is a year-round destination. The optimum time to go is during the cool season which runs from around November to February. Between March and May it can get very hot, in Bangkok temperatures can reach 35C so the best place during these months is undoubtedly on the beach! Which beach? Well, you have a lot of choice but as a general rule, from November to June look to resorts around Phuket and Krabi, while between December and August the other side of the peninsula is better with Koh Samui and environs being a good bet. Between June and October the south-west monsoon arrives and weather can be unpredictable with some more remote areas tricky to reach. Downpours are heavy but short-lived – usually coming in the afternoon or at night.
Bangkok is an experience - an increasingly modern city where traditional tuk tuks, markets and glittering shrines meet towering skyscrapers.
